I really love this series. I don't normally read anything like this, but I suppose there isn't really anything else like this series out there.What I love most is the sudden awkward human moments that occasionally crop up. I think many stories can get occasionally get bogged down by their own seriousness (looking at you, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead), but this story has all of the gore, violence, intrigue, and also a great sense of humor. It actually gets more funny the more you read. I would highly recommend this series to anyone looking for a book that they won't be able to put down.

To put this simply, the author of this webserial is motivated by reviews. More reviews = more stuff to read. Therefore this review should be seen as my attempt to read more of this author's work. Which is what it is. I like this series and want to see more of it. I'm not really sure how much more I could say.
I finished in one day couldn't put it down. I like how Hector's power and knowledge is growing. I'm glad the author didn't turn him into a immortal bad ass.
Still loving the story, and crossing my fingers that this year is as Banner a year for the series as Frost has expressed.
The author is such a nerd but I love it. The Undercrust is really well done.
Spoiler alert but this is my favorite part of the book.
MC gets sucked into an alternate dimension where time doesn't exist and can potentially train for decades? Nope, he'll get devoured by the dimension. So he gets a powerup from the Dry God, then? Yes! And his power up is social competence!
I waited 2 years for the fourth book to come out. Granted I can go on the website and read for free but no I want the book. The book was worth the wait. I even re-read the entire series in just 2 weeks to remind myself of everything and I'm glad I did because this story is worth it. Mr.Frost please be kind to your readers.
If you are reading this then you've probably already read Zombie Knight 1-3. I agree with you reader, this is a good book series! I purchased the books primarily to support the author, who posts the contents of these books for free, and because I like having the kindle e-book.
George Frost is one of the best writers of modern fantasy I have ever had the pleasure of reading. Hector and Garovel continue to delight and amaze, and the complex world they inhabit is filled with delightfully grey characters. Even when the story takes directions I don't want, or we experience the lives of others besides our favorite heroic duo, even when we grow to hate or love these new literary creations that share precious inkspace, even when we are cruelly left dangling for months at a time as to the fate of the poor two, ultimately everyone is better off for the wait.
It's all worth a read. But a fair warning - Frosty is a cruel and merciless god of caprice and malice, and no body is safe from accidental or intentional death and dismemberment. This is a not safe for children work in that respect, as the gore factor is pretty high.
